Questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files never leave your device and nobody else can see them.

What hidden data is in my photos?

Phone photos usually store the exact GPS location where they were taken, the date and time, and the phone model. Anyone who gets the original file can read it. Social apps often remove it, but email, chat file attachments and cloud links usually don't.

Will the photo lose quality?

Not for JPG, PNG and WebP: only the hidden data blocks are cut out, and the picture data is copied byte for byte. HEIC, TIFF, GIF, BMP and AVIF photos are re-saved (HEIC as JPG, others as PNG) because that's the only way to clean them in a browser.

Why does my photo still open the right way up?

Phones store 'which way is up' as a tiny setting inside the hidden data. We keep only that one setting, so your photos don't suddenly appear sideways.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 50 images at once and 50 MB per file. Very large images (over 100 megapixels, or 60 on iPhone and iPad) are refused with a clear message so your browser doesn't run out of memory.

Your images are processed on your device and never uploaded.
