Questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
Why do photos look slightly grainy in a GIF?
The GIF format can only show 256 colours. We pick the best 256 for all your frames together, which keeps colours steady from frame to frame. For photos, a short video or WebP is sharper, but GIF plays everywhere.
Can one frame stay on screen longer?
Yes. After you make the GIF, each frame has a 'Show this frame for' box. Type a time in milliseconds, for example 2000 to hold the last frame for two seconds. Frames you leave empty use the Speed setting.
How do I make the GIF smaller?
Reduce the width and use fewer frames. Width has the biggest effect: halving it makes the file roughly four times smaller.
Is there a size limit?
Up to 50 images at once and 50 MB per file. Very large images (over 100 megapixels, or 60 on iPhone and iPad) are refused with a clear message so your browser doesn't run out of memory.
