Questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
Which files do I actually need?
Upload everything in the ZIP to your site's root folder and paste the tags from head-tags.html. favicon.ico covers browser tabs and old browsers, apple-touch-icon.png covers iPhone home screens, and the manifest with the Android icons covers Android and installable web apps.
Why does the Apple icon have a solid background?
iPhones fill see-through areas of home screen icons with black and add their own rounded corners. So the Apple icon always uses your background colour and square corners.
Can I use an SVG logo?
Yes. The SVG is drawn at every size, so even the 512-pixel icon is sharp, and it's also included as favicon.svg for modern browsers.
